European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance

JPIAMR

The EUP OHAMR builds on the extensive work of the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) that engaged 29 nations and the European Commission to support collaborative actions to curb antimicrobial resistance with a One Health perspective.

The JPIAMR coordinated national research funding from member countries to support joint transnational research projects and networks to fill knowledge gaps on AMR.

The JPIAMR, that ended in May 2025, has supported over 1900 researchers in 186 projects and networks with funding about 181.5 million Euro.

The JPIAMR project database

The JPIAMR supported a large portfolio of research projects and networks that investigated potential therapeutic candidates in the pipeline, generated new knowledge on selection and transmission dynamics of AMR in a One Health context, designed new interventions or surveillance studies, standards and protocols. The JPIAMR project database presents information on these projects and networks supported under the various research calls coordinated by the JPIAMR and the distribution of investment in various AMR research priority areas.

AMR Knowledge Hub

The JPIAMR created the AMR Knowledge Hub that provides access to a collection of in-house and external assets (information, data, products or services) to increase coordination, improve visibility of AMR research networks, research performing institutes/centres and infrastructures, and to facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity development across the globe, covering the full One Health spectrum.
