European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance

Governance

The EUP OHAMR governance model includes executive and strategic bodies, to ensure robust and effective decision-making, accountability and strategic input. It further enables the partnership to coordinate and align with national, European Union (EU) and international priorities while also managing the operational aspects of the collaboration for maximum impact.

General Assembly

The decision-making body of the EUP OHAMR is the General Assembly, consisting of one representative from each partner organisation and chaired by the Coordinator.

Strategic Board

Strategic advice and alignment with national, European and international priorities are provided by the Strategic Board. It has representatives from countries participating in the partnership and from other countries beyond the partnership. Relevant EU and United Nations (UN) agencies are invited as observers.

Scientific Advisory Board

International experts in AMR are elected to the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), which provides advice for the partnership on scientific, research, innovation, and policy-related matters across the One Health spectrum. The experts in the SAB provide feedback from the scientific community and are also a resource for partnership activities like workshops and networking events.

Stakeholder Forum

Exchange across sectors, disciplines and initiatives is key to impact in AMR, and this is provided by the partnership’s Stakeholder Forum. It will be composed of a variety of representatives from research and innovation organisations, global initiatives, EU agencies, patient organisations, public health and health care systems, civil society, EU reference laboratories in microbiology, industry organisations, the Quadripartite agencies, and other actors such as relevant European partnerships and Joint actions across the One Health spectrum.

External Ethics Advisory Board

A permanent, independent External Ethics Advisory Board will be established for the partnership. It will consist of experts on ethical issues related to all relevant aspects of AMR R&I to provide quality assurance and guidance on partnership activities and for the R&I projects funded through research calls.

Coordination Unit

Coordination of partnership activities and operational delivery of the programme is managed by the Coordination Unit, which consists of the leaders of each work package and the Coordinator.

This body develops and implements the work plan as well as conducts robust quality control and risk management for the partnership. The Coordination Unit is supported by the EUP OHAMR Secretariat hosted by the Coordinator, the Swedish Research Council.
