Background

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) represents one of the most complex global health threats of our time, requiring an integrated One Health approach that spans human, animal, plant, and environmental domains.

Positioned at the intersection of the EUP OHAMR Partnership and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), this initiative serves as a strategic bridge aimed at increasing the participation of researchers from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) and Widening Countries in the upcoming MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2026-2027 calls. It seeks to connect high-potential global talent with leading European AMR host institutions, translating the Horizon Europe principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion into concrete research opportunities.

By proactively reducing geographical and institutional barriers, the initiative contributes to the broader objectives of accelerating bidirectional knowledge exchange, fostering cross-sector mobility, and equipping the next generation of researchers with the interdisciplinary tools needed to address antimicrobial resistance on a truly global scale.
